CREATING THE FUTURE…NOW!

The Office of School and Youth Development presents Future Now 2012.

Schools and community-partners worked with students learning under the
21st Century Community Learning Center’s Grant to participate in a citywide
youth video project focused on media literacy.

Students submitted videos addressing the questions:

• Why they are proud of their generation
• What they are proud of previous generations for accomplishing
• How they will use the knowledge gained in their after-school programs
  to improve their neighborhoods and make a positive impact on society.

Students came together on May 18, 2012 for a daylong series of workshops
with ABC News, PBS/Need to Know and World Up.
